A tall tail or not?
This is how I replied to that British guy: Here in the U.S. we also have our delusional people. One are a group that seem to have seen too many Star Trek episodes and now believe in 'the Rapture'. Luk 17:34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two [men] in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. Luk 17:35 Two [women] shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Luk 17:36 Two [men] shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. They think they are going to be beamed up and all the bad people (i.e. nonchristians) are going to be killed when they are the ones that should worry. Listen to what Jesus said when asked by his disciples. Luk 17:37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body [is], thither will the vultures be gathered together.* That doesn't sound very promising does it? Maybe they are going to become dinner for aliens. I hear humans taste like chicken. Maybe the aliens will first take all those who don't believe in reincarnation. How would you ever know for certain? (This is a rhetorical question and does not need to be answered.) In any case you British have done almost the same thing to less technologically developed civilizations and we in the U.S. seem to be now doing something similar in the Middle East. It seems to me that this 'beam up' might be intergalactic justice or else good farming practice to start harvesting humans before we massively kill each other off with nuclear bombs, smallpox and Anthrax. (This last line is virtually guaranteed to set off alarms on more than a few government email monitoring computers.) In any case I would avoid getting on any UFOs if I were you. That is if you aren't beamed up without your permission. *Some versions of the Bible use 'Eagles' instead of 'Vultures'. However the original was in Greek and its direct interpretation refers to 'carrion birds'. Since eagles also eat carrion some versions of the Bible very inaccurately use the word 'eagles' in their translation. It makes people happy I am sure and of course that got you to buy that version of the Bible but it is highly inaccurate. In any case, I would avoid getting on any UFOs if I were you.
